Bake Off, Line of Duty to return to filming

The Great British Bake Off, Line of Duty and Call The Midwife are among the shows set for an imminent return to filming.

Filming on the new series of The Great British Bake Off will finally get underway later this month, according to The Mirror.

The coronavirus lockdown meant that the cookery show's usual production start date of April was pushed back, although the contestants and crew are now thought to be isolating together so that filming can begin.

The newspaper also says that Line of Duty will resume filming in Belfast on August 24, five months after production was halted four weeks into a 16-week shoot.

Call The Midwife will film its Christmas special in September, while Death In Paradise gets going in Guadeloupe next month.

GBBO normally airs on Channel 4 from the last week of August but is expected to be delayed by at least a month due to the production difficulties.
