Former EastEnders star Danielle Harold is in talks about appearing on this year's edition of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, according to a report.

The actress ended her stint on the BBC soap earlier this year as her character Lola Pearce tragically lost her battle with brain cancer.

The storyline earned the 31-year-old many plaudits and just last week she picked up the gong for Serial Drama Performance at the National Television Awards.

A source told The Sun: "Danielle is at the height of her career and in demand after her moving storyline on EastEnders, but she's really caught the eye of ITV bosses to appear in the upcoming series of the jungle.

"As well as being a talented actress with a huge fanbase, Danielle has a fun personality with a wicked sense of humour, which makes her the ideal campmate for the show.

"It could propel her into superstardom at an exciting time in her acting journey.

"Conversations are under way and producers are trying to lure her with a lucrative deal."

The new series of I'm A Celebrity is due to begin on ITV in November.
