Tom Grennan takes early lead for top spot on albums chart
Tom Grennan's second studio album Evering Road takes an early lead in the race for this week's albums number one.

Tom Grennan's second studio album Evering Road is in pole position to claim number one in this week's UK albums chart, according to the latest figures from the Official Charts Company.

After the first 72 hours of sales, the record, which includes tracks 'Let's Go Home Together' and 'Little Bit of Love', has a lead of 1,700 sales over veteran Brit rockers Thunder, currently at two with 13th studio album All The Right Noises.

Grennan's debut album Lighting Matches managed a peak of number five after its release in summer 2018.

London rapper Central Cee is also a new entrant in the midweeks, with debut Wild West tracking at three after racking up the most streams of the week so far.

Meanwhile, Nick Jonas looks set for a disappointing debut with his latest solo release Spaceman, which sits at number 36 in the early standings.

Over on the singles chart, Olivia Rodrigo's nine-week reign atop the standings looks set to end as Nathan Evans's 'Wellerman' battles it out with KSI and Yungblud's 'Patience' for number one.
