Survivor to take one-year break due to coronavirus?

Production on Survivor in Fiji is reportedly delayed by a year due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

Long-running reality show Survivor is reportedly facing a year off the air because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The series - hosted by Jeff Probst - has been at the heart of the CBS schedule for more than 20 years and typically airs two seasons a year.

The 41st and 42nd seasons had been due to be filmed back-to-back in Fiji's Mamanuca Islands earlier this year but the plans were delayed until later this year due to COVID-19.

According to Inside Survivor, however, conditions are still not safe enough for production to go ahead so the decision has been taken to postpone filming by a year to April 2021.

The move means that season 41 will not air until September 2021 - a break of 16 months between new seasons.
