Aussie quizzer Issa Schultz is drafted in to cover for Anne Hegerty on the new series of Beat The Chasers.

Issa Schultz from The Chase Australia has been drafted in to replace Anne Hegerty on the new series of Beat The Chasers.

New episodes of the spinoff show, which features all six Chasers, have been recorded over the last few days but Hegerty has been unable to take part due to coronavirus.

An ITV spokesperson confirmed to Radio Times: "Unfortunately, Anne 'The Governess' Hegerty has contracted COVID-19, so won't be filming the upcoming Beat The Chasers.

"We look forward to having her back on set soon. We're thrilled The Chase and Beat The Chasers Australia's Issa Schultz is able to step in."

Schultz, 38, has been on the Aussie version of the show since it launched in 2015 and has the nickname "The Supernerd".
