Barcelona chief confirms Neymar deal is "closer"

Barcelona official Javier Bordas says that the Catalan giants are edging closer to signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar.

Barcelona official Javier Bordas has claimed that the Catalan giants have made progress in their efforts to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar.

With less than a week remaining during the summer transfer window, Barcelona are still trying to secure a reunion with a player they sold for a world record fee in 2017.

Bordas was one of several boardroom members to hold discussions with their PSG counterparts in France on Tuesday, and he feels that the La Liga side have edged closer to bringing the Brazil superstar back to Camp Nou.

Upon his arrival back in Spain, Bordas told reporters: "There is no agreement Not yet. We are still negotiating and I think we are closer."

PSG are said to have demanded a package of £90m plus Ousmane Dembele and Nelson Semedo.
