Lionel Messi asks Barcelona to re-sign Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain?

Lionel Messi reportedly asks Barcelona to try to secure a reunion with Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar this summer.

Lionel Messi has reportedly asked Barcelona to hand forward Neymar a second spell at Camp Nou.

Neymar left the Catalan giants for Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, although there has been frequent speculation regarding a return to Spain for the 27-year-old.

PSG will allegedly entertain big-money offers for the player this summer, and it appears that Barcelona could make a formal approach to secure a reunion with the Brazil international.

According to El Mundo, Messi has told club officials that he wishes to play with Neymar, rather than form a new partnership with potential arrival Antoine Griezmann.

The report adds that the clubs may attempt to negotiate a way for Griezmann to instead replace Neymar at PSG ahead of the new campaign.

Despite constant talk regarding his future, Neymar has still contributed 51 goals from 56 appearances during his time in France.
