Round 22 of the 2023-24 Eredivisie season sees FC Twente and FC Utrecht face off against each other at De Grolsch Veste on Sunday afternoon.

Both sides have come out on top in their last two matches heading into this weekend's meeting, which promises to be a keenly-contested affair.

We say: FC Twente 3-1 FC Utrecht

Twente have been near-perfect on home turf this term and are huge favourites to get the job done in this one. We can see the hosts cruising to a relatively comfortable win in the end.

Ajax vs. Nijmegen (Sunday, 1.30pm)

Ajax play host to NEC on Sunday afternoon needing maximum points in order to keep in contention for a third-placed finish in the Eredivisie standings.

At a time when the Dutch giants sit in fifth position, the visitors are seventh, just six points adrift of their next opponents.

We say: Ajax 4-1 NEC

Although NEC suffered defeat last time out, they will have every confidence of capitalising on the inconsistences of their hosts. Nevertheless, Ajax's dramatic comeback on Thursday could provide them with the extra belief that they need to put together a more ruthless performance in this fixture.

Vitesse vs. Volendam (Sunday, 1.30pm)

A crunch relegation six-pointer in the 2023-24 Eredivisie season sees Vitesse and FC Volendam lock horns at GelreDome on Sunday afternoon.

Both teams have only managed one victory apiece since the turn of the year and will need to get themselves back on track as soon as possible.

We say: Vitesse 1-1 FC Volendam

Vitesse and Volendam have both been defensively porous for large spells of the season and it is hard to see either of them coming away with a clean sheet. That said, we can see the teams canceling each other out with honours even come the end of the 90 minutes.

Feyenoord vs. RKC Waalwijk (Sunday, 3.45pm)

Feyenoord play host to RKC Waalwijk on Sunday afternoon knowing that only a win will do if they wish to stay in contention for the Eredivisie title.

As it stands, the defending champions sit 10 points adrift of leaders PSV Eindhoven, while visitors RKC currently occupy 16th position in the standings.

We say: Feyenoord 2-0 RKC Waalwijk

Despite their superiority to most teams on the domestic scene, Feyenoord have not exactly been winning convincingly of late. That trend could continue here, yet the home side would be satisfied with a victory and clean sheet.
