Chelsea will begin the defence of the Premier League title with a clash against Swansea City at Stamford Bridge.

Jose Mourinho's side and Garry Monk's men will go head to head on the opening day of the 2015-16 campaign, while elsewhere runners-up Manchester City will travel to West Bromwich Albion.

Arguably the standout fixture of the opening weekend, which is scheduled to begin on August 8, is a battle between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

Arsenal will host West Ham United at the Emirates, while Liverpool will try to put right their 6-1 final-day defeat to Stoke City by returning to the Britannia Stadium in week one of the league schedule.

Premier League new boys Bournemouth will open their account with a visit from Aston Villa at the Goldsands Stadium, Watford mark their return to the top flight with a trip to Everton, while Norwich City will face Crystal Palace on home turf at Carrow Road.

United and Liverpool will go head to head early in the season as the Merseyside outfit, who will also face Arsenal within their opening five fixtures, are due to visit Old Trafford on September 12.

Chelsea, who led the league from start to finish in the 2014-15 campaign, will take on potential title contenders Man City in the second fixture of the season on August 15, and a few weeks later will face London rivals Arsenal.

The first Manchester derby of the campaign is pencilled in for October 24 at Old Trafford, with the return fixture at the Etihad Stadium on November 7, which will also feature the first North London derby at the Emirates before Tottenham host Arsenal on March 5.

West Ham's final ever game at Upton Park will be against Swansea on May 7.
