Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic has admitted that he will be sad to see manager Sir Alex Ferguson retire at the end of the season.

The Red Devils earned a 2-1 win over Swansea City in the Premier League on Sunday in what was the Scot's final game in charge at Old Trafford.

"I think today is a special day, in one way we are happy for the trophy but in another way we are sad the manager is not here for another year," Vidic told Sky Sports News.

"It will be strange not to see him in the dressing room. This is a big club and will always be a big club but it is sad after so many years, without him is going to be sad."

Current Everton boss David Moyes will be taking over from Ferguson from July 1.
