Premier League clubs are reportedly planning to vote against the introduction of VAR next season.

Premier League clubs are reportedly planning to vote against the introduction of VAR technology next season, even if football's lawmakers approve its use.

According to BBC Sport, a number teams in the top flight have expressed concerns about the system based on feedback from trial matches.

At least 14 of the Premier League's 20 teams must vote in favour of VAR for it to be approved for use in matches at club level.

The system came under scrutiny during Tottenham Hotspur's 6-1 win over Rochdale in the FA Cup, during which a goal was disallowed and a converted penalty overturned.

VAR could be approved for this summer's World Cup finals in Russia at a meeting of the International Football Association Board in Zurich, due to take place on Saturday.
