West Bromwich Albion interested in Hednesford Town forward Lewis Archer?

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly interested in signing forward Lewis Archer, who plays at the seventh tier of English football with Hednesford Town.

West Bromwich Albion have reportedly indicated that they would like to take Hednesford Town forward Lewis Archer on trial.

The 20-year-old recently left Rushall Olympic for the Pitmen, and the pacey frontman has already established himself as a key part of the Northern Premier League outfit.

According to the Express & Star, that has resulted in the Baggies requesting permission for Archer to spend time at the club's training ground ahead of a potential transfer.

However, the report suggests that Hednesford have turned down the offer, instead requesting a fee for any move due to Archer having penned a contract until January 2020.

A number of players have featured for the Staffordshire outfit before moving into the professional game, including Cohen Bramall who made the switch to Arsenal in January 2017.
