Oscar Pistorius's defence lawyers are reportedly attempting to challenge the strict bail conditions placed on the Paralympic champion after he was charged with the premeditated murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
The double amputee, who shot dead the 29-year-old model at his home in Pretoria, South Africa on Valentine's Day by firing four shots through a bathroom door, was granted bail on the ground that he was not a flight risk or a danger to himself or others.
It has been claimed by Sky Sports News that the 26-year-old's lawyers believe that it was wrong to force Pistorius to hand over his travel documents, including his passport, as the judge deemed he was not in danger of fleeing the country.
They also believe that it is not necessary for Pistorius to report regularly to the police station or have a probation officer.
It has also been reported that the athlete's lawyers believe that Pistorius should be permitted to return home to the complex where he shot Steenkamp, and have contact with his neighbours.
Pistorius is due to return to court in June.
