A witness in the Oscar Pistorius murder trial has received a threat after his phone number was read out, a court has heard.
Charl Johnson, who is a neighbour of the Paralympic athlete, was cross-examined by Pistorius's defence lawyer Barry Roux today after giving evidence.
Mr Johnson, who is the wife of first witness Michelle Burger, told the court in Pretoria that he heard a woman scream after a final gunshot in the early hours of Valentine's Day last year.
Pistorius, who competed in both the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London 2012, is accused of murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, whom he shot dead through a bathroom door at his home.
According to The Guardian, prosecutor Gerrie Nel revealed this morning that Mr Johnson's telephone number had been read out in court the previous day by Mr Roux, and that the witness had received a "large amount" of calls as well as a threat.
It is believed to have said: "Why are you lying in court? You know Oscar didn't kill Reeva. It's not cool."
Pistorius, who has also been hit with two gun-related offences, has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
