Former Grand National runner-up Oscar Time retires

Oscar Time retires from racing after finishing 15th in Saturday's Grand National.

Former Grand National runner-up Oscar Time has been retired after racing at Aintree for one final time.

The 14-year-old was bidding to become the oldest winner of the Grand National since 1853, but he faded late in the race and finished a creditable 15th.

The horse, ridden by Sam Waley-Cohen, had a strong track record at Aintree and won for the final time at the course in December.

He previously finished second in the National in 2011 behind Ballabriggs, and fourth in 2013.
