Alex Tait pens Newcastle Falcons contract extension

Newcastle Falcons full-back Alex Tait signs a new two-year deal at Kingston Park.

Newcastle Falcons full-back Alex Tait has agreed a two-year contract extension with the Aviva Premiership club.

The 26-year-old, who can also play at centre, graduated from the academy at Kingston Park in 2007.

Tait has made 93 appearances for the Falcons, scoring 30 points in the process.

"Alex is another of our talented local contingent and as such it is good that he has chosen to remain with us here at Newcastle and will remain part of what we are looking to build here," director of rugby Dean Richards told the club's official website.

"He has been part of the club since graduating from the academy, has become an integral part of the squad and improves year on year and I am looking forward to seeing that continue."

Newcastle are back in action on Saturday when they make the trip to Romania to face Bucharest Wolves in the European Challenge Cup.
