It is goalless between Middlesbrough and Peterborough United following the first half of their Championship game at the Riverside Stadium this evening.

There were no goals between Middlesbrough and Peterborough United in the opening half at the Riverside Stadium this evening.

Joe Newell saw an early strike go wide of the post for the visitors, before an Ishmael Miller effort went the same way at the other end of the pitch.

Sammy Ameobi had the first on-target effort of the game following a Grant Leadbitter corner, but Robert Olejnik was able to keep the ball out.

The visitors had a couple of chances late in the half, as Jason Steele had to make saves to prevent goals from Craig Alcock and Lee Tomlin.

However, neither side were able to break the deadlock before the half-time whistle.
