James Rodriguez has reportedly prioritised a move to Everton over Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers as he edges closer to the Real Madrid exit door.

Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez reportedly prefers the idea of joining Everton over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Colombia international has been touted as a target for both Premier League clubs as he edges closer to the Bernabeu exit.

Despite firm interest from Champions League-chasing Wolves, a report in Spain suggests that the 28-year-old has prioritised a switch to Everton.

Rodriguez knows that he will become an undisputed starter at Goodison Park from the day he joins, the report claims, and he is already close to boss Carlo Ancelotti following their time at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Everton will supposedly have to hand over £70m to Madrid should they wish to land Rodriguez, who has made 12 appearances in all competitions this season.
