Team News: Dieter Heckling starts Ivan Perisic, Bas Dost on the bench

Wolfsburg manager Dieter Heckling makes four changes to the side that lost 4-1 to Napoli as Ivan Perisic is preferred up front to Bas Dost for their clash with Schalke.

Dieter Heckling has made four changes to the side that lost 4-1 to Napoli in the Europa League on Thursday night for the Bundesliga visit of Schalke 04.

Ivan Perisic is preferred up front to Bas Dost and will have support from Andre Schurrle, who keeps his place in the starting lineup.

Joshua Guilavogui, Daniel Caligiuri and Robin Knoche are replaced by Timm Klose, Christian Trasch and Maximilian Arnold.

Schalke manager Roberto Di Matteo also makes three changes to the side that drew 0-0 with Freiburg last weekend.

Marco Hoger serves a suspenion and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting misses out through illness, with Leroy Sane and Roman Neustadter replacing the absent pair.

Matija Nastasic is also unavailable after being sidelined by a calf injury, which gives Marvin Friedrich a starting opportunity in defence.
