Panagiotis Tachtsidis's late strike helps Hellas Verona continue their impressive start to the season.

Hellas Verona have continued their impressive start to the season after Panagiotis Tachtsidis's late strike gave them all three points in their Serie A clash with Cagliari this evening.

Daniele Dessena and Albin Ekdal both missed chances for the visitors during the first half as they struggled to find a way past a stubborn Verona defence.

After the break, Bosko Jankovic hit the bar for the home side after good work from Alessandro Agostini.

Luca Toni again hit the woodwork for Verona before Tachtsidis secured victory with a goal in the dying minutes of the game.

The results leaves Verona fifth in the table, while Cagliari sit in 14th.
