'Evidence moved' in Oscar Pistorius murder investigation

Oscar Pistorius's defence lawyer Barry Roux questions why evidence was moved at the scene of where the Paralympian shot dead his girlfriend.

Oscar Pistorius's defence lawyer Barry Roux has suggested that evidence at the scene of where the Paralympian shot his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp was moved.

On day 12 of Pistorius's murder trial at the High Court in Pretoria, crime scene photographer Barend van Staden took to the stand to be cross-examined by the athlete's defence.

The court was shown hundreds of photographs of the blood-spattered scene after Pistorius shot dead Steenkamp through a bathroom door at his home in Pretoria on Valentine's Day last year.

Roux told the court that the 9mm pistol that Pistorius used to fire the shots had been moved in between photographs, as had the cricket bat that the 27-year-old used to break down the locked toilet door.

Pistorius denies murder by maintaining that he mistook Steenkamp for an intruder when he fired the shots.
