London Irish ease to win over London Welsh

London Irish dominate the second half to clinch a 24-9 win over London Welsh in the Aviva Premiership.

London Irish have cruised to a 24-9 win over London Welsh in the Exile derby in the Aviva Premiership this afternoon.

Alex Lewington put the home side ahead inside the opening half-hour as he forced his way over in the corner.

Each side had a player sent off shortly before the break as Dan Leo and Tom May were involved in a fight, forcing the referee to show both a red card.

Will Robisnon kept the visitors in contention at the break, adding two penalties before half time to leave Welsh just four points down.

However, the hosts were too strong once the match got back underway, resulting in tries for Geoff Cross and Tom Court to put the win beyond doubt.

The win moves Irish up to 10th in the table, while Welsh remain bottom with no wins this season.
